Drive with me!
So today I made a voyage from Fairfax, Virginia all the way down to Beaufort, South Carolina. I drove this trip alone and I actually enjoyed most of it! I thought to help pass the time I would take pictures of things I thought were interesting or humorous. (of course not while actually driving!)
Worst part of the trip was sitting it traffic for 2 hours on 95 just to get to Woodbridge, VA. Thus, and impromptu self portrait?
This photo has no artistic value whatsoever, but I did find this truck unnecessarily large and quite fitting as I started to venture off into the rural parts of virginia.
1. Cheap gas
2. People are friendlier
3. Good food, less chain restaurants
4. Stores have great names (ie. Piggly Wiggly, Bojangles, etc.)
Never had I been to a Waffle House before. Almost every exit on the way down had a Waffle House, so that must mean it is pretty delicious right?
Ive never met a hash brown I didn't like... but I regret not getting mine "smothered and covered".
(for all you other non waffle house regulars that means with onions and cheese)
I think on my drive back I am going to try lunch at the Waffle House's nemisis.... HUDDLE HOUSE.
What I love about most about South Carolina is the Spanish Moss that hangs from all the oak trees. It makes for beautiful natural canopies over the roads and it looks like something straight from a movie set.

"Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth." -- Henry David Thoreau
I find our personal truths are discovered in the moments of stillness. The feelings and thoughts you have about yourself, about the world, about God, and about the people around you are often explored alone.
Maybe we are afraid to stop and breathe. Are we afraid of what we hide away from in our own hearts and minds? Afraid of the things we have done to hurt those around us, or afraid to feel any disappointment? If we keep moving surely our own innermost thoughts will not plague our present mind.. (insert sarcasm here :)
Do not fear the solitary moments, but rather be liberated, I promise you...they can be the most beautifully quiet part of your day.

My dinner in pictures.
So I went to dinner at a newer place in town called Zoe's Kitchen with a lovely friend of mine. And this is what I ate.
